TixNix Presents at Texas Traffic Attorney Conference On August 7th, TixNix Founder & CEO, Steve Ehrenreich, gave a presentation entitled "Digital Lawyering" to the Municipal Justice Bar Association of Texas (MJBAT). Ehrenreich explained how lawyers and law firms can use Internet technologies to improve, extend and enhance their practice. After the talk, the TixNix booth at the conference was the site of much discussion, with numerous attorneys gathering more information about TixNix's unique technology solutions for traffic ticket attorneys. A number of attorneys signed up on the spot to join TixNix's growing network of lawyers, and many more requested additional information to bring back to their offices for discussion with their associates. "We were truly overwhelmed by the positive response to the TixNix concept. MJBAT attorneys were excited to hear that TixNix is here to help leverage the Internet to market their services to the 99% of people who don't use attorneys when they get a ticket" Ehrenreich said. TixNix is looking forward to a continued relationship with the MJBAT. With more than 300 members, the association represents a majority of the lawyers in Texas who specialize in fight traffic tickets. University of Chicago Business School Student Makes Angel Investment With TixNix's recent success in June's Edward G. Kaplan New Business Venture Challenge, interest from private investors has continued. As a result, TixNix has secured an angel investment from a student at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. The student, a colleague of Founder & COO, Drew Massie, contributed $8,000 after becoming interested in TixNix through the New Venture Challenge. The student, who has given anonymously, commented, "TixNix enables lawyers to serve more clients, more efficiently. Used smartly, TixNix helps lawyers make more money - that's a great business." TixNix continues to gain new attorneys and customers. The company is seeking additional funding to accelerate its growth plans, add additional features to the existing suite of services, and expand its sales force to attract more attorneys.
