Steven Owsley is a Houston-based attorney with over 20 years of experience. Steven's career began as a prosecutor in Travis County, Texas where he personally prosecuted over 1,000 traffic cases. Police Chief To Fight Speeding Ticket
WLOX - Biloxi, MS
The police chief in Ocean Springs has been issued a speeding ticket, by one of his own officers. Mayor Pro Tem Danny Jalanavich confirms that Chief Kerry Belk was issued the ticket last week. Belk plans to fight the case in court. Sources tell WLOX News the ticketing officer may have been upset because he was recently passed over for promotion. Belk says he's pleading not guilty, and wants the truth to come out in court. Full Article

2 Indicted in Traffic Ticket-Fixing Case
Times Picayune - New Orleans, LA
Two former Orleans Parish Traffic Court workers were indicted Thursday for alleged involvement in a ticket-fixing scam. The federal indictments were handed up against Edwin Burks, a former assistant city attorney and politician, and Bernetta Claiborne, a former minute clerk in Section D. The charges stem from an FBI investigation that has lasted more than a year and included hidden cameras, acting U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said. Full Article
